Terms of Service

By using flatkey ("Service") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. The Service

flatkey is an API gateway that routes your requests to upstream large language model providers. We do not own or operate the underlying models — we negotiate access on your behalf and pass requests through.

2. Your account

You must be 18+ and provide accurate information. You're responsible for keeping your API key secret and for all usage on your account. Notify us immediately at hi@flatkey.ai if you suspect compromise.

3. Acceptable use

• You will comply with the terms of each upstream provider whose model you invoke (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI, Google).
• No illegal content, spam, abuse, or content that violates third-party rights.
• No reselling raw model output as if it were a different service without disclosure.
• No attempting to extract model weights, scrape upstream provider data, or circumvent rate limits.

4. Billing

You pay for what you use, by token. Pricing is published at flatkey.ai/#pricing and may change with 30 days notice. Prepaid balances are non-refundable except where required by law.

5. Service availability

We target the uptime stated in our SLA. Outages of upstream providers are outside our direct control; our job is to route around them when possible.

6. Data

Request and response content is handled per our Privacy Policy. We do not train models on your data. Upstream providers may log per their own terms.

7. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the trailing 12 months.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. We may suspend access for violation of these terms, with notice when reasonable.
